About CaloriesKit

Free, fast, private calorie and fitness calculators — built to give you trustworthy numbers without signups, spam, or your data leaving the browser.

What this site is

CaloriesKit is a toolkit of calorie, energy-expenditure and body-composition calculators: TDEE, BMR, calorie deficit, macros, calories burned for 25+ activities, and more — backed by plain-English guides to the science behind the numbers.

Our methodology

Every calculator names its formula and source. Energy expenditure uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (Mifflin et al., 1990) as the primary method, with revised Harris-Benedict and Katch-McArdle as comparisons. Activity calorie estimates use MET values from the 2011 Compendium of Physical Activities (Ainsworth et al.). Body-fat estimation uses the published US Navy circumference method. Where research is unsettled, our guides say so.

Privacy by architecture

All calculations run in your browser via plain JavaScript. Your age, weight, measurements and goals are never transmitted to our server — saved inputs live in your device's localStorage and nowhere else.

Who builds it

CaloriesKit is built and maintained by Murugan Vellaichamy, a software engineer who runs a network of free, single-purpose web tools. It is supported by advertising. Nothing here is medical advice — see the disclaimer on every page, and bring decisions about your health to a physician or registered dietitian.
